Papa Doc had a client meeting/dinner in NY on Wednesday and Thursday, so he decided he'd stop by and visit his only son... Lucky me , I was an afterthought. haha. But nah, it was fun having him come by and visit. He visited with my grandparents, and took us all (20 of us) out to Buca Di Beppo, where he told our waiter Frank, he was the Godfather. My dad's sister, Deanna, also known as my auntie, came along from D.C too.
For Saturday Brunch, we went to Dim Sum.

3's update...
Allen Iverson was dropped from the Grizzlies, so he's in search for a job...
CP3 went down last week with a very bad ankle sprain..It's said he'll be out for 3-4 weeks.
Dwyane Wade...Need I say anything when Power Rankings Said it all..
"Dwyane Wade broke spirits (Anderson Varejao), broke hearts (Nets), and broke records (franchise-record 22 straight 20-plus games) this week."
The 49ers won on Thursday against the Bears...I think I already wrote about it, but yeah they need some offensive help. Their Defense on the other hand, is pretty darn strong...
Bill Bellicheck took a risk and it cost the Pats and Tom Brady the game. Most people disagree with his choice, I being one of them. Sure, it's great to have Tom Brady with the ball in the final minutes of a close game, but if you're leading the game by less than a touchdown, and it's more than 4 and 1, (4 and 2), on their own 30 yard line, I think everything leads to punt. I get his decision, but it wasn't necessary. If they were losing by a 6, yes, absolutely. If they were winning with the down, 4 and 1, maybe. But the safest bet would be to punt the ball and trust your defense. I'm still agitated that Tom Brady lost..Gr
No need to talk about the Raiders losing to the Chiefs.
No need to talk about the Wizards struggling to find W's. Everyone says it's because they don't have Jamison, but how much would he help? I mean a significance yes, but I don't htink one player changes a 2-6 team to above .500 just like that. It's still gonna take time for him to get used to the rotation and the game.
Kings are above .500, and are on a 4 game win streak, the latest coming from the Rockets (who beat the Lakers the next game). WOW. Holy Smokes ,would have never predicted that. I guess I'm a pessimist when I told people this would be the only two game winning streak this season, and they already doubled it. Ha, anyways J T and Tyreke need to keep gettin me fantasy points!
Warriors traded Stephen Jackson for Raja Bell and Vlad... I don't like that trade, nor do I like how it hurts my fantasy team of Anthony Morrow, Anthony Randolph, and Stephon Curry... Hopefully, they drop Vlad , or trade for a pick cause there's too many people on that team!
Can you Imagine Marv Albert practicing his lines in front of a mirror back the day when he was a new broadcaster. Haha. If you missed the game tonight, that is unfortunate. I missed some parts of it, but at least got to see the main event. Sure, D-Wade lost, but he put up some fighting numbers. The Heat are still getting better, and he dunked on Anderson Varejao. That dunk is dunk of the year, kind of reminds me when he dunked on Emeka Okafor last year...
Anyways, both are freakin sick. While most speculate on if LBJ joins D Wade to form one of the best duo's ever in Miami next season, another all-time great duo was in the arena. By that, I mean Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. D-Wade also sported the new and up coming 25th Anniversary Jordan's due out in Feb. Personally, I'm not hyped, but I guess we'll see when they're released.
I missed some of the game due to the other National Game on TV, and it wasn't basketball. The Niners played on NFL TV for those who don't follow. And must I remind you from two years ago, Patrick Willis is a BEAST. Manny Lawson, I was also a fan of him his rookie year (one prior to Willis's entrance). The 49ers are horrible on offense, only scoring 10 points...Even after taking away, or being given, 5 Interceptions by Jay Cutler. Somebody Fire that man. Hopefully, the offense can get it going or else there's not gonna be no post season this year.
Oh and Michael Crabtree is still impressin.. especially with the out of bound catch. Sorry, since it wasn't a catch, I don't spot it on Youtube. haha
Today was one of those days you just wanted to stay in bed. The rain was pouring, the clouds were darkening, and it was cold. Luckily, it’s Wednsday, where I can skip my morning class and wait til my 5 clock class. The rain fills the streets, and the winds clog the sewers. Modern Warfare 2 came out yesterday, and I got me a copy. Haven’t played that much, in respect to my cousin, but I want to. Haha Anyways, lets go to the professional sport How about them Kings. For the first time in 3 seasons, the Kings are at .500 even. And we have the rookie, Tyreke Evans to thank for that. I honestly would’ve liked Steph Curry for the 1st pick, but apparently Evans is proving himself. I thought Curry would be a better fit because Kevin Martin is a 2 guard, and Steph Curry is a 1. He’s a dribbler, passer, and shooter. Tyreke Evans is merely a 2 guard, trying to play the one. His assist-turnover ration is horrible, and is shot is wickedly ugly. With no surprise, the Kings are still winning without Kevin Martin… I say no surprise because, Kevin Martin is nothing to me. All he is, all he’ll ever be, is a shooter. An efficient scorer/ shooter. He’ll never get more than 5 rebounds or 5 assists a game for a season. He lacks the dribbling skills and IQ to do so. It’s funny how there’s sac people believing, Kevin Martin is a super-star in the making, and the next Kobe Bryant without Defense. Hilarious. The Kings are winning because the boy Kevin Martin doesn’t require touching the ball. Sure he might have given us points, but there’s no ball rotation. Notice how Peja never got more than 3 all-star appearances. I highly doubt Kevin Martin will top that. Plus, Evan’s primary position is 2 guard, Martin’s spot. Now that Martin’s injured, Evan’s is playing his primary position. Results are proof. Oh and right now he’s currently ranked number 1 in rookie rankings.
Surprised that Hornets aren’t doing too well. Same with the Spurs. How about Miami though? Dwyane Wade had 40 last night against the Wizards. Boston and Miami only have one loss. Washington, without Antwan Jamison, are a whopping 2-6. Most of the Eastern Conference, beside the big 3, are all losing records. Western Conference, have more teams above .500, with Phoenix leading the way, 7-1. LA is 6-1 after losing to Dallas in Week 1. Surprise of the week? Sacramento. 4-4, amazing. Haha. Golden State is suffering, even though they put up 140 against Minnesota.
Fantasy wise, team numbe 1 last week had a very interesting matchup against a very strong team. Geelong Cats had Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony, Rasheed Wallace, Luol Deng, Jermaine O’neal, Blake Griffin, Marcus Camby, Allen Iverson, Samuel Dalembert, Andrew Bogut, and Kirk Hinrich. Two players on his team didn’t play, AI and Blake Griffin due to injury/personal Reasons. He was actually beating me in the early week, up to Friday where he led 8-1. Somehow, I pulled out with the 5-3 win, tying in rebounds. My team also were without, Tayshaun Prince, Leandro Barbosa, and Tim Duncan. I think the improvement of Tyreke Evans and Chris Bosh helped me pull out. The categories I lost in were, steals, blocks, and turnovers.
The second team, also ranked number one, played the first week. I played All that Remains, who has Aaron Brooks, Manu Ginobli, Vince Carter, John Salmons, Andrea Bargnani, Luis Scola, Jermaine O’neal, Kobe Bryant, Devin Harris, and Chris Duhon. Other than Kobe, I didn’t have anyone to worry about. Manu was also injured on his team. I had a strong performance by Rudy Gay and Deron Williams to take place of injured Yi Jinialian, and Troy Murphy. I beat him 8-1, losing only in turnovers.
NFL.
Who would’ve thought the 49ers would’ve been under .500 in week 10 of the NFL season at 3-5. The beginning of the season looked promising, but after watching the last 4 games, has been quite the opposite. Losing the last 4 games, the 49ers don’t have anyone mainly to blame but a combination of bad luck and horrible offense. You could say it’s their turnover rate with newly inserted quarterback, Alex Smith. Or you could say it’s the schedule they have, with their opponents being extremely good. Sure, the Vikings stole a victory away from us, but look at Tennessee and Indianapolis. Both of those victories could’ve easily been ours. But our offense failed to convert in the 2nd half of the Colts game, and Alex Smith turned over the ball in the last 3 minutes. Both of those games were our victories, which would have left us 5-3. Instead, we our questioning our coaches, and the ability to run an effective offense. Coach Mike Singletary told everyone last year and during the off-season that the 49ers were going to be a run run run offense. Power and more power. It’s great that he had the idea of being the power running team the NFL lacks, but once you tell that to your opponents, think about what the defense they’re going to run. They’re going to put 8 men in the box 1st and 2nd downs, knowing the 49ers will run the ball. And now that they’re trying to pass the ball, Alex Smith is throwing interceptions for touchdowns…So where do the 49ers go from here? I say, keep up the risk, keep fighting for their season. It’s about moving the chains, and the play calls by coaches. But it’s also up to the players moving the chains, tipping the balls that should’ve been caught.
Ravens and Broncos a fluke? They’re losing, and losing bad. Broncos are 6-2, so not so much to worry about, although SD is 5-3 and catchin up. Ravens are 4-4, which should be worried, with the Bengals and Steelers in front. Cowboys have regained their conference on top of the Eagles and Giants. Patriots are leading their league against the Jets and Dolphins. Vikings are 7-1, no surprise here. Saints and Colts are still undefeated.
Another week passed by. Might I add that next week, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 comes out (tuesday). Haha, it hit me when my classmates said, "If I'm not in class next Tuesday, I'm probably at home playing Modern Warfare 2 since it comes out next week." Haha. Yeah since I have nothing else to do besides hang out with a blog, I've started playing video games like a geek. haha Oh well, I guess I missed the last 6 years of being a Teenage Geek. For those who don't know, check it out!
On another basketball update... Cp3 is a sick shooter now, shooting high percentages from beyond the Ark. He managed to find some help from Emeka Okafor and David West, but the team as a whole, are still struggling. I swear the Hornets just have washed up Kings lying on their Roster.Okay maybe not washed up, but a trade among them kinda relationship. Look at it, Byron Scott, Peja, Bobby Brown, Ike Idogu, Sean Marks, Darius Songaila...just this year. And then Desmond Mason, Bobby Jackson and Bonzi Wells in previous years. Seems to me that, someone is following someone. I think it's more Hornets following Sac...which shouldn't happen because SAC is so weak sauce...They have been the last 5 years, and now look at New Orleans..Struggling to even be a playoff Team. I always thought the Hornets had the better lineups, just couldn't stay healthy. Sometimes I think their chemistry is off too. Mo Pete, James Posey, and Peja, are dead shooters. They traded for a healthier Emeka, yet wasted Rasual Butler...Doesn't make much sense to me. But hell, neither does Geoff Petrie.
I guess I'm just extending the talk about the Kings from the Sacbee Article/Comment Forum found here. People on that are ridiculous, stating the Newspaper Article Comments part is a "Fans Forum." Some people are just beyond imaginable. It's good to be a true fan, but it's also good to know when it's time to jump ship. I'm not saying give-up on the Kings, but stop wasting your money on em. They're ranked 10th in Attendance Prices for Home games at 60 bucks average. The Nba itself average ticket price is 50... Among the top 10, the Kings are the only ones with the losing record. Lakers, Knicks, Boston, Chicago, and Mavericks are understandable for being there. They're good and in large Cities. Joe and Gavin Maloof are freakin rippin people. Thank God my dad stopped buying his season tickets this season.
Blame the management. Geoff Petrie was a success when he brought over the Fab Five and plus some. But since then he's done horrible. Donte Green, Spencer Hawes, Kenny Thomas, Sean May, Desmond Mason, Ide Udoka, Andre(DUI) Nocioni all horrible pick ups on contracts. Who'd we lose for them or let go for no good reason and we should've kept? Chris Webber, Mike Bibby, Ron Artest (Some might say Peja), Brad Miller, Eddie House, Bonzi Wells, Justin Williams, Ronnie Price, Dahntay Jones, Rick Adelman, and John Salmons were among the ones lost for no reason. The ones we didn't even need, yet we paid them- Bobby Brown, Quincy Douby, Vitaly Potapenko, Mo Taylor, Jason Hart, Mikki Moore, Beno Udrih. Jesus, ever since that C-webb Trade, that's probably all the players we went through, and most we haven't kept. Anyways, Kings Fans are biased on that paper, and it's quite irritating.
Kevin Martin is a good scorer because he's efficient. But that doesn't mean anything if you don't dish the ball, get assists, or even a block once in a while. He's 6'7 so blocks aren't too hard, saying D Wade and Delonte West average almost a block a game under 6'4. Monta Ellis passes the ball more than Kevin Martin. Amazingly, he chased 11 rebounds down yesterday. Yet the Kings couldn't hold on to a 4th quarter lead. Kevin Martin will never be a Superstar, maybe an All star. He'll be no better than Peja Stojakavic, and has a little more way to go to catch Mitch Richmond. Oh and btw, These forum King Fans said that Kevin Martin is favorable than Ray Allen, Tmac, Reggie Miller, and Brandon Roy. Haha. Oh and I almost forgot, "Kevin Martin is just like Kobe, without a team, and without D." Dude, I'm not even a Kobe fan, but Kobe is one of the most complete, clutchest, closer, Basketball Superstar Player since MJ. LBJ and Dwyane follow, but to say Kevin Martin is just as good, without D and a team? Those people are trippin. I'd take Steph Curry over Kevin Martin, hell I'd take him over Kevin and Tyreke.
As for Noc's DUI, he was probably drinkin his piss-poor life/trade from last year. Hell it must've been a lot better being a Bull than a King. Oh well. Good to see Mike Bibby come back and hit some important shots down the stretch. Kings fans think he's comin back when we become a Post Season team again, like Bobby did. Haha. Sometimes I wonder if they're playing fantasy ball or 2k10 and think their teams really are gonna shape. Reality is, Kings are either moving, or they'll suck for the next 3-4 years, unless they land some big name this coming off-season.
D-Wade beasted last night against the Wiz's on National Tv. Cp3 beasted against the Mavs too, on National Tv. Way to go boys, Way to go. Q rich might look like a fantasy pick up...and haha where on earth is Michael Beas(t)ley? He's got issues dude. Anyways. That's it for now.
Congrats to Dwayne Wade on his 10,000 points Milestone. This is what you call Superstar.
This Wed, he will be on National TV, ESPN at 7 P.M Eastern Standard Time, against Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards. I look forward to that matchup, although I'll miss the first half due to school.
On more news, Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings, is injured and listed Day to Day.
Anthony Randolph is still trying find his All-Star caliber, but can't blame him cause Nellie ain't playin him!.. Same thing with Anthony Morrow. Gallinari is a steal pick up right now, hitting 16 3's this season, including 8 in one outing. The Italian Knick can shoot!
I'm debating if I should pick up Courtney Lee, Peja Stojakavic, and/or Kenyon Martin...and drop either, Travis Outlaw, Yi Jinilian, and/or Anthony Morrow.
49ers Lost. Raiders Lost. Tom Brady is on the Bye. Redskins are on the Bye. Thank God the Ravens smashed the Broncos....49ers could've won, but didn't score the 2nd half of the Indy game, to leave Indy undefeated. Raiders, they just suck. Tom Brady's comin back from London. Joe Flacco is the man!
Celtics are undefeated, with Rondo signing an extension, 55 Million for 5 years. Jesus, just think, the Kings could've had him, instead of Quincy Who? Douby. Great, just Great. Kevin MArtin is still proving me right when I say, "Worst Clutch" performer. My dad was on Fox News too.
(Around the 540 Mark)
He had more coverage time, but I suppose they didn't like his responses. This is a revised/edited version. In the previous version, my dad answered questions of what should've been happening during the time of the crash, Along with what "might've" occured to cause the crash. And lastly, he finishes with, "slim chances" when asked what were the chances of survival. He said it with a straight face...I bet the family members are disgusted with my dad.
