New Years 2010

2010 was a good year. Emotional, challenging, different, and fun.  There was tons of schools (70 something hours since last winter) and little time to play. Just Kidding.  Weekends were play days and Weekdays were work days.  I spent a majority of my year in Maryland and Washington D.C for school.  When I wasn't in school (like 4-5 weeks out of the whole year), I was vacationing the globe or visiting home.  I've been fortunate to travel to places like South Korea, New York, Florida, Denver, and Salt Lake City.  Whether it was with family or friends, the times will all be remembered.

I'd like to shout out some people's names who are in the 2010 memory.
Bull, bff like a brother, you've been there through the roughest times in my life.  Whether it was girl problems or guy talk, you and I always had our fun and memorable moments.  Even though it was 3000 miles away, we still had our moments through the phone.  You mean the most to me and have helped me grow throughout the last 7 years.  We be BFF forever blood!

Tim and Matt, JR and Michelle you cousins you.  Man without you guys I wouldn't have a life in Maryland.  Even though our life was mainly zombie hunting, 2 Am McDonalds, or Starcraft killin, we had our fun moments.  You eased the move a lot better.  The lonely school days I had you both cured with the weekend fun.  We shopped and ate explicitly.  I hope I influenced you guys as much as you both have influenced me.  It was a great year living back east as we all got closer.  You guys helped the times roll by quickly.  You all helped me out a lot with my school stuff too.  I wouldn't have graduated from Maryland without you guys.

Jason Singh ISS Over the years we go in and out of communication.  We've always been friends but I think this last year we spent a lot more time talking to each other becoming even closer.  I'm glad that we've kept in contact over the last 10 years.  I still remember it was you and me in 8th grade and then 12th.. Man how time flies.  I'm so proud of you and all your accomplishments.  You are sincerely a good honest guy who reminds me of Clark Kent.  I'm glad you are working on your Law degree while maintaining love with your love sport and great girlfriend.   You have always been an influence and motivator.  It's also living proof that the good, nice guy gets the hot girl.

Bday aka Roach, Thanks for taking all those CJ classes with me man.  You and I had some great, fun, times at Chipotle before and after classes.  Whether we were talking girls or school work, you made it fun.  Thanks for all the help with school too! I'm proud you finally got your dream job as a police officer in Maryland.  I only wish you the best cleaning up the streets.  Keep it Safe and Keep in touch.  Congratulations on your acceptance to the academy.  Maybe I'll join you next year!

Alvinski Thanks for all your help man.  Honestly, I had the best times in Maryland with you bro.  We had our great talks about sports, girls, and photoshop.  You introduced me to Raven and helped me with Indie and Niner.  Even though things didn't work out to plan, it was still nice to have you around just to talk about it.   I appreciate all you have done for me.  It's lame that I only met you the last semester of my school life.  But from the times we had, it was great and memorable.  You are a very bright, funny guy.  We'll remain in touch for years to come.  Good luck with finishing your degree...!

Maria aka princess girl.  And no I don't mean that in a bad way.  Thanks for all you've done in the last month or so of school.  It was great getting to meet a new person in Maryland.  Things weren't always how they felt and most things weren't as serious as they seemed.  Promise, I never meant to hurt you in some asshole way.  Even after knowing you a month, it seemed like years.  You make me feel accomplished by just being honest and opinionated.  You reading my blogs were inspirational.  I hope you enjoy them as I enjoy your company.  I hope by me moving home doesn't change things, but I understand if they do.  You made studying and chillin fun.  You and K say were reasons enough to attend Judicial Process.  Sorry for any mishap I may have caused, they were never my intentions.
Keep up the multi-cultural lifestyle.  Stay sweet and caring and not too conniving.

K say.  What do I say.  You are a great person..Smart too. Too bad I didn't meet you or Maria earlier, it would've made school a lot more fun.  Even though you both are racist jokesters, it was fun getting to know you.  I know one day you will be happy with Chadmonkey.  Props to him for serving our country.  I'll have to take the serving the country part into consideration, now that I am graduated.  I'll be sure to drop a line whenever I come to MD.  You better do the same when you come to Cali.  I'll have to introduce you to the IN n Out Burger.

Coach J Chuk aka Shotyme Apparel.  Thanks for those talks from 3000 miles away man.  You are a big part of why I write and why I innovate.  I know some times I'm very negative or pessimistic.  But sometimes, it's just honesty.  I know and you know, I'm very different when it comes to the typical dude.  I have listened to all of your advice and hope I have returned a little bit to you.  Keep up the good work with the clothing line and thanks for all the free shirts.  I will wear them everywhere whenever I can.

Becky Boo and Moo. You guys helped me through a lot once again in 2010.  When times were rough, it was always nice to call you guys to just talk.   You guys have been as much as an influence as I have been to you.  You guys might not know it or believe it since you both are so young, but you both give me a lot of motivation to keep going and try harder.  I try to be the best role model and brother I can be and hope to have provided you with inspiration, advice, and influence as much as I can.  You guys have both grown a lot over the last couple of years.  I hope you make all the right choices in the future.  And if you don't, know that I will always be here, even if I'm  not in town.
Without you handful of people, Life would've been much more difficult. Even though there were the lonely times, you guys helped me through most of it.  It was very good to make better friendships.  We withstood the difficulties and overcame the challenges.  Without you all, it would've been so much tougher.  I hope you the best for 2011 and hopefully, we all will remain in contact.

My family members.   I would not be anywhere near where I am if it weren't you all.  I may seem unappreciated or unhappy at times.  But know that you guys are the reason I'm alive today.  And everything you've done will never ever be replaced.  I'm grateful for each and everyone of you.  It was all great times this past year.  I've grown so much and appreciate you so much more.  It was fun living with all of you guys!

I also appreciate Bear, Lil one, J G35, Eddie, Turbizzle, Richie, Tubby, Yum, David and Kevin, Fuki, Boo, and Skip for all being in my life.  Whether it was texting or hanging out, you all have been honest friends.  I am thankful for the great times in 2010 and hope for an even better future.  If I forgot anyone, know that I didn't to do it intentionally.

2010 was filled with great music especially by Hans Zimmer, Nicki Minaj, Baby Yu, Kanye West, and Bruno Mars.  Sports were awesome with D Wade, Patrick Willis, and Steph Curry.  The Economy started picking up after a rough beginning.  And my family is all kickin and healthy.

Happy New Years.  May 2011 bring great prosperity and healthy lives.  I hope the drama will be limited, the loneliness will be scarce, and the great memories will be limitless.   May we all chase our dreams, goals, and aspirations.  Motivate and Innovate.  Bright Lights.

Keys to the Playoffs Round 1.
This years playoffs are very enticing as both the east and west have 16 great teams fighting for one championship.  Unlike last year, all the teams in the playoffs this year are at least .500.  The last team to obtain their playoff berth was Chicago, who used all 82 games for positioning.  The last win of the season resulted in their playoff berth, knocking out Toronto.  Since this is the first year in awhile where all teams in both conferences finished above .500, it will be a great first round…  On top of that, the western conference was such a close race with 2nd through 8th being within 5 games.

Eastern Conference

1 Cleveland vs 8 Chicago
This is the best team in the NBA vs the worst team in the playoffs.  Cleveland is one of the deepest teams in the playoffs, with a starting lineup that includes Shaquille O’neal, Lebron James, Mo Williams, Anothony Parker, and Antawn Jamison.  To back them up, Anderson Varejao, Zydrunas Illgauskas, Jamario Moon, Daniel Gibson, J.J Hickson, Leon Powe, and Delonte West.  Who are they up against?  I’d say, Joakim Noah, Luol Deng, and Derrick Rose.  What’s interesting to see is the Bulls make the playoffs despite losing 10 games in a row in the second half of the season.  Keys for the Cavs to win, containing Derrick Rose.  If D. Rose gets the entire team involved, it’ll be a problem.  But of course, every problem has a solution, and that’s Lebron James.  If anything happens for D. Rose, LBJ will stop him. Haha
Cleveland will win this series.  I think the Bulls might have a chance to steal one at home in game three, but I expect the Cavs to re-evaluate that loss and come back to take the series in 5.  Derrick  Rose is on the same team as D-Wade for the Heat, their team will go as far as their star carries them.  Lebron James honestly, does not even need to play for the Cavs to take this first round.
Wild Cards:  Cleveland Cavaliers: Mo Williams, Chicago Bulls: Their Bench
Result: Cavs in 5
Actual: Cavs in 5
2. Orlando Magic vs 7 Charlotte Bobcats
Looking at the Orlando Magic roster, I think they are as stacked as the Cleveland Cavs.  I’m a huge fan of Matt Barnes and Jason Williams.  Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter need to have a huge series to push for the wins.  Dwight Howard should be decent since Tyson Chandler and Tyrus Thomas are great on the defensive side.  In order for the Magic to win, they’ll need great team play and knock down threes.  In order for the Bobcats to win, Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson need to have monster games.  The Bobcats are a well-defensive minded team, so they’ll have a chance to try and hold the Magic’s fire power.

I expect the Orlando Magic to win.  I think they have too much offensive firepower for the Bobcats to stop them.  I like the Bobcats defense, but Tyrus Thomas is sporadic and Tyson Chandler hasn’t healed from his injuries.  The trade in the offseason was an excellent trade…last season.. but Chandler’s aging and his health is diminishing.  If Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson can contribute half of the teams offense and defense, they’ll get a game or two.  But overall, I expect the Magic in 5.
Wild Cards: Orlando Magic : Michael Pietrus and Vince Carter Charlotte Bobcats: Tyrus Thomas and Stephen Jackson
Result: Orlando in 5
Actual:Orlando in 4
3. Atlanta Hawks vs 6. Milwaukee Bucks
The Atlanta Hawks surprisingly made a late-season push to enter the playoffs at the three seed.  Luckily for them, they don’t have to face the Miami Heat like last year.  I think their chances of passing the first round are higher playing the injured Bucks rather than a Dwyane Wade.  The Bucks have made  a surprising playoff run behind Andrew Bogut and Brandon Jennings. But the season-injury to Bogut, lessens the chances of the Bucks winning.  This would have been a great match up if Bogut was in tact, but since there’s no Bogut, Mbah Moute must be the difference maker.  The Bucks need to fill the void of Bogut with Moute and veteran Kurt Thomas.  If the Hawks are going to win, they will have Joe Johnson and Josh Smith carry them.  Al Horford will be great against non-Bogut players.  If the Bucks want to win, they’ll need consistency from John Salmons and Brandon Jennings.  Brandon Jennings must carry his team during the rookie season, like he did in the beginning of the season.
I expect the Hawks to win and advance since they have more experience than the Bucks. The Bucks aren’t that great of a team without Bogut and they’ll need players like Delfino and Stackhouse to step up their game.  Oh I might add the Hawks have 6th man to be,  Jamal Crawford.
Wild Cards : Atlanta Hawks: Mike Bibby (where have you been all season?) Milwaukee Bucks: Mbah a Moute and Kurt Thomas.  Brandon Jennings consistency..will he show up as the 30 point scorer or the 2 point scorer.
Result: Atlanta hasn’t won on the road according to ESPN in the last 10 years except for once last year.  I expect them to change that, and win in the injured Bucks.   Atlanta in 5.
Actual:Atlanta in 7
4. Boston Celtics vs 5. Miami Heat
Ah yes, my boy D Wade vs the senior citizens of the NBA.  I would’ve preferred the Heat playing the Hawks just because it’s more of an even match.  But Boston lost its last several games to fall back to the fourth seed.  Miami is still helpless beyond Wade, and this season has seen Mario Chalmers fall to the Bench.  Beasley had a better season than his rookie season, but still is inconsistent.  Boston has struggled, but is 3-0 against the Heat this season.  All of the games were close, including an –almost game winning shot by Wade (only for Boston to tie on a .7 shot to send the game to O.T).  For the Boston Celtics to win will depend on Rondo’s game play.  Rondo gets the team involved, and will find Paul Pierce and Ray Allen for shots.  Honestly, Rondo can run in circles and win the series for the Celtics.  I might add that Boston has the deepest veterans bench beside the Cavs.  In order for the Heat to win, the Heat must have , according to my cousin“40 points from Wade, 20 from O’neal, 20 from Beasley every game.” Even though that’s dramatic and extensive, it’s true.. At least the Wade and Beasley part.  The Heat will need more help besides Dwyane Wade…meaning Chalmers, Beasley, O’neal, Richardson need double digits in every game.  I like Udonis Haslem and I like Joel Anthony as the only other consistent Heat players.
I wanted to say the Heat in 7 just because I can’t oppose D-Wade.  But beside being a D Wade fan, I’ll say the truth since I’m a realist.  Celtics will win this series due to their bench and experience…This is a championship team who struggled this season, only because they didn’t care.  Now that the post season is here, they should look like their championship form minus K.G’s knee.
Wildcard: Boston Celtics: Big Baby Davis  Miami Heat: Their team minus Wade, Haslem, and Anthony
Result: Boston in 6.  I don’t see anyone besides Wade and Haslem for scoring. Q might have a game , O’neal might have one too.. Beasley might have one.. but they need 4. Not likely.
Actual:Celtics in 5

Western Conference

1. Los Angeles Lakers vs 8. Oklahoma City Thunder
Like I said in the intro, the 2-8 seeds are misleading.  The Thunder lost to the Trailblazers to fall to number 8.  This matchup will be one of the better ones outside the Heat and Celtics.  I say this because Kevin Durant is one of the best up and coming players who just won his first (youngest) scoring champion.  But then there’s LA and their defender, Ron Artest.  And if he fails, there’s Kobe Bryant.  If the Lakers want to win, they’ll need Artest to shut down Durant, and their big’s to play consistently.  I’m not a fan of Andrew Bynum, but Pau will support the both of em.  Lamar Odom needs to be the 6th man he used to be.  In order for the OKC Thunder to win, the Lakers will need to break down. Haha just kidding. The Thunder will need to push it, and who else does that better then Russell Westbrook..one of my favorite new players this year.  K.D and Kobe cancel each other out,  so Westbrook needs to carry the load.  Also the Thunder’s big men need to suppress Pau and Bynum.
The Lakers should win this series.  They are the returning champions, and not only do they have offense, but defense as well. Their frontcourt is huge minus D.Fisher (which can be replaced by Lamar Odom).  The Thunder can only win if they use their speed (age) cause the Lakers can’t hang.  I also heard Kobe’s injured..
Wildcards: Los Angeles Lakers: Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom Oklahoma City Thunder: Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green, OKC as well
Result: Lakers in 6
Actual: Lakers in 6
2. Dallas Mavericks vs 7 San Antonio Spurs
Well, last year the Mavs knocked out the injured Spurs.  This year, the Spurs are back and better with less injuries than last.  Spurs bring experience and poise, where Mavs have too much talent.  The trade that brought Haywood, Butler, and Stevenson mid-season, makes them deeper.  But overall, does it make em better? There’s only one ball.. I say, no. But I’ve never been a Mavs fan.  I’ve always been a Spurs fan.  If the Mavs want to win they’ll need consistency from Butler and Terry.  They are the keys to the wins.  Dirk and Kidd will get theirs, and Haywood and Dampier are defensive centers.  If the Spurs want to win, they’ll need their big three to have huge games.  I also like George Hill , and Dejuan Blair,a lot, both who will be Parker and Ginobli, Duncan and Mcdyess back up.  Tony Parker’s health will also have an impact.  I almost forgot, Richard Jefferson needs to be great, that’s why they got him last summer.
I will stick with my Spurs to win this series.  Mavs are good, but can they win on the road? I know the Spurs can, consistently too.  It’ll depend on the play of Richard Jefferson  and Tim Duncan.  The Mavs have defensive centers to stop the paint play from Parker and Duncan.
Wildcards: Dallas Mavericks : Caron Butler San Antonio Spurs: Richard Jefferson
Result: Spurs in 6..or 7.
Actual: Spurs in 6

3. Phoenix Suns vs 6. Portland Trailblazers
Funny how the 6th seeds in both conference are missing key players.. Bogut was a huge injury to the Bucks, but non bigger than the Trailblazers missing Brandon Roy.  Brandon Roy is the 4th best shooting guard behind Wade, James, and Bryant.  Actually, he might be five, thinking about K.D.  Not only is Roy injured, but so is Greg Oden.  The Suns have played defense this year to the number three seed.  I don’t think the Trailblazers can win against the Suns if they don’t have Brandon Roy.  If the Trailblazers want to win, they’ll need to play defense against the high-scoring Suns.  If the Suns want to win, they’ll need to make shots, and have big games from Richardson and Barbosa.
I will stick with the Suns.  No Brandon Roy means they’re not a 6th seed team. Steve Nash has had a stellar season and Amare’s playing with anger.
Wildcards: Phoenix Suns- their CENTERs Portlant Trailblazer: Rudy Fernandez and Jerryd Bayless
Result: Suns in 6.
Actual: Suns in 6
4. Denver Nuggets vs 5. Utah Jazz
This is an interesting matchup.  Actually, it’s the same as the Spurs and Mavs.  I like the Jazz.  Denver made its surprise last year, and yes that was last year.  This year, they’re without George Karl, and their X factor J.R Smith is still inconsistent.  In order for the Nuggets to win, they’ll need J.R Smith to have monster games.  Carmelo is one of the purest scorers in the league and Billups is Mr. Bigshot.  But that’s all the Nuggets have. And they’re against Boozer and Williams.  If the Nuggets want to win, Nene and J.R must have monster games.  If the Jazz want to win , Mehmet Okur needs to come out and take advantage of Nene and Martin.  Boozer’s health is also in consideration.
The Jazz will put up a fight, and I think Deron Williams will take advantage of whoever guards him.  He is the second best point guard in the league..maybe first since CP3 can’t shoot as well as Williams.  The Nuggets don’t have a pure leader like George Karl, so it’ll be a tough series.  I expect the Jazz to win behind their experienced and respected coach.
Wildcards: Denver Nuggets: Kenyon Martin and J.R Smith Utah Jazz: Mehmet Okur
Result: Jazz in 6.. Nuggets in 7.
Actual: Jazz in 6

NBA and School lifee update.

Sorry, No pictures for this post. Just wanted to update this thing since I have 3 posts in the last 2 months.  School is hectic right now, haven't had time to shoot photos.  Instead, I've been working on a resume and cover letter for English 398.  For my gang's class, I have had to research a gang-related article for the local area, read My Bloody Life : The Making of a Latin King, and write an 8 page paper on it.  In my terrorism and counter-terrorism class, I have a 6 page mid-term paper about a terrorist group, and a group project of a similar paper.  For my race class, I have weekly internet exercises and a 3 page paper due.  And lastly, I have an Anthropology paper due on syphilis.  Fun, yes I know.

I recommend, My Bloody Life : The Making of a Latin King.  I hate reading, but that book got me hooked.  I even got the sequel, My Bloody Life : The unMaking of a Latin King.

As for the NBA trades...disappointed the Heat didn't get Amare.  The Kings finally got rid of Kevin Martin.  Didn't get that much, but hey we got rid of Martin and Rodriguez.  Speaking of Rodriguez, Ashley Rodriguez from Boston, on American Idol, is HOT. And she can sing. Lol.  The Wizards traded away half the team, to get nothing but Josh Howard and Al Thornton.  Good pickups.  The Cavs were dominating without Jamison, and now they'll be awesome. Just be patient cause there's a 3 game losing streak with him.  These things take time.  Look for them to give the Magic, Celtics, and maybe Lakers, a run...

Rockets traded Tmac for Kevin Martin.  That's the upside, I think.  But they lost Carl Landry, a very upgraded Dejuan Blair.  Okay maybe not that big of an upgrade.  If you think about that, the Kings had a chance to get Blair...Yes, instead we got Brockman who?  Brockman upsets offenses at time, but Blair would've been a better pick. And he has no ACL's..Sav! The Celtics kept their big three, gave up Eddie House, and got Nate Robinson. Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley say it's a good upgrade from House, but I don't know about that one... And House proved in the New York loss that he could score (24 points).

Financially, the Jazz traded Corey Brewer to ? for nothing...Don't know if I'd agree.  The Bobcats got some depth in Tyrus Thomas.. and the Trailblazes got a big man..Hopefully, he doesn't follow Oden and Pryzbilla..

New NBA favorites for this year: Rajon Rondoooo, Dejuan Blair, and Kevin Durant.

What to watch: Charles Barkley and Kenny "the Jet" Smith.  Hilarious.

Winter Break 2009

It was one good ride this winter break of 09. I was there for a month, which might have seem like a long time. The time's passed by fast, guess I was having too much fun. The first couple of weeks were holiday and seasonal days, where hanging out with fam was the main part of the break. I went to the bay 3 times, twice to pick up the sister from her work, and once to search for a purse. I can now say, i'm an expert at the purse game. Haha. But nah, went with Shtevo all 3 times, met up with Rick and Eva twice (where they tried settin me up), and just relaxed in the city. Everytime I go, it seems like I fall more in love with SF.

For the Holiday season, I hung out with the fam. We went to church for candlelight service, and then to the Leong's on Xmas eve, and Day, for dinner. Those were good memories, watching TBS's annual and Kev's favorite,"Christmas Story," eating the excellent home cookin' food, and playin' the family board games of Spoons, Pictionary, and Mahjong. My pops had a "Tiger Woods" moment while tellin everyone there's some BZ Facebook messaging him, askin if he was single.

Speakin of Father, he somehow came up with one of the most unique, Present wrapping type idea. Instead of wasting wrapping paper, he found full page advertisements that fit our personalities. Here are some examples. Props to him.

For New Years, my family took out the Yee's and the Leong's for New Year's Dinner at Bucca Di Beppo. That was a fun, yummy, memory. I introduced David to Zombies on Ps3, where he later became addicted.

The rest of the break was just kickin it. Saw some Mikuni home boys every weekend at our weekly meeting spots, Willy's and Bistro. I saw some familiar faces I haven't seen since High School. Had our "Monday" dinner with the Baller Boys at Red Lobster to find out, there's no more "Crab Crackin Mondays."

Also had Karaoke night at Natalie's with Ceddy, Minh, Chris G, Johnny, and Eddie. Eddie wanted some expression in our faces for the camera, but he was unable to capture such poise faces. Instead he got some Cats, which even turned out blurry.

I hung out with my kids, Becky Boo and Moo. I saw Moo play a couple games for JFK, where he was hoopin. I missed the best though, his game winning shot vs Laguna Creek. We had our fun times too, eating in the middle of the night, or going on Starbucks runs.

Went to the King's game vs Denver, where Tyreke hit the game winning shot. But now the King's only win came from that game. And I believe a majority of it has to do with Kevin Martin. Also wen to the Miami game vs the Wizards in Washington. My boy D Wade hit 32 4 and 10... and smashed the Wiz's.

Of course the majority of the break was hangin out with the best man, and the home boys. Some things don't change when I go back to sac, as we always eat and drive. The best man and I took many drives talkin about situations that have and are occurring. There's nothing better than good talks that you'll remember the rest of your life. And it even got so good that I'd be hangin out at the shop, pushing cars in and eatin next door's Flautas...Hella bomb.

But now I am back on the East. There's some people I've missed catchin up with, so I apologize. I am disappointed in a couple people, but I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles. It's time to get back into school mode and livin with the relatives, so no time to worry about that.. It's always fun to go back up, but now it's time to focus.

3's update...

Allen Iverson was dropped from the Grizzlies, so he's in search for a job...
CP3 went down last week with a very bad ankle sprain..It's said he'll be out for 3-4 weeks.
Dwyane Wade...Need I say anything when Power Rankings Said it all..
"Dwyane Wade broke spirits (Anderson Varejao), broke hearts (Nets), and broke records (franchise-record 22 straight 20-plus games) this week."

The 49ers won on Thursday against the Bears...I think I already wrote about it, but yeah they need some offensive help.  Their Defense on the other hand, is pretty darn strong...

Bill Bellicheck took a risk and it cost the Pats and Tom Brady the game.  Most people disagree with his choice, I being one of them.  Sure, it's great to have Tom Brady with the ball in the final minutes of a close game, but if you're leading the game by less than a touchdown, and it's more than 4 and 1, (4 and 2), on their own 30 yard line, I think everything leads to punt.  I get his decision, but it wasn't necessary.  If they were losing by a 6, yes, absolutely.  If they were winning with the down, 4 and 1, maybe.  But the safest bet would be to punt the ball and trust your defense.  I'm still agitated that Tom Brady lost..Gr

No need to talk about the Raiders losing to the Chiefs.
No need to talk about the Wizards struggling to find W's.  Everyone says it's because they don't have Jamison, but how much would he help?  I mean a significance yes, but I don't htink one player changes a 2-6 team to above .500 just like that.  It's still gonna take time for him to get used to the rotation and the game.

Kings are above .500, and are on a 4 game win streak, the latest coming from the Rockets (who beat the Lakers the next game).  WOW. Holy Smokes ,would have never predicted that.  I guess I'm a pessimist when I told people this would be the only two game winning streak this season, and they already doubled it.  Ha, anyways J T and Tyreke need to keep gettin me fantasy points!

Warriors traded Stephen Jackson for Raja Bell and Vlad... I don't like that trade, nor do I like how it hurts my fantasy team of Anthony Morrow, Anthony Randolph, and Stephon Curry... Hopefully, they drop Vlad , or trade for a pick cause there's too many people on that team!

Assassin's Creed II comes out this week too.

13.11.09

"Welcome to your KODAK moment Anderson Varejao."

"Wade, Oh The Facial, Yes and the Foul."

Can you Imagine Marv Albert practicing his lines in front of a mirror back the day when he was a new broadcaster. Haha. If you missed the game tonight, that is unfortunate. I missed some parts of it, but at least got to see the main event. Sure, D-Wade lost, but he put up some fighting numbers. The Heat are still getting better, and he dunked on Anderson Varejao. That dunk is dunk of the year, kind of reminds me when he dunked on Emeka Okafor last year...

Anyways, both are freakin sick. While most speculate on if LBJ joins D Wade to form one of the best duo's ever in Miami next season, another all-time great duo was in the arena. By that, I mean Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. D-Wade also sported the new and up coming 25th Anniversary Jordan's due out in Feb. Personally, I'm not hyped, but I guess we'll see when they're released.

I missed some of the game due to the other National Game on TV, and it wasn't basketball. The Niners played on NFL TV for those who don't follow. And must I remind you from two years ago, Patrick Willis is a BEAST. Manny Lawson, I was also a fan of him his rookie year (one prior to Willis's entrance). The 49ers are horrible on offense, only scoring 10 points...Even after taking away, or being given, 5 Interceptions by Jay Cutler. Somebody Fire that man. Hopefully, the offense can get it going or else there's not gonna be no post season this year.

Oh and Michael Crabtree is still impressin.. especially with the out of bound catch. Sorry, since it wasn't a catch, I don't spot it on Youtube. haha

It's Wednsday

Today was one of those days you just wanted to stay in bed.  The rain was pouring, the clouds were darkening, and it was cold.  Luckily, it’s Wednsday, where I can skip my morning class and wait til my 5 clock class.  The rain fills the streets, and the winds clog the sewers.  Modern Warfare 2 came out yesterday, and I got me a copy.  Haven’t played that much, in respect to my cousin, but I want to. Haha Anyways, lets go to the professional sport
How about them Kings.  For the first time in 3 seasons, the Kings are at .500 even.  And we have the rookie, Tyreke Evans to thank for that.  I honestly would’ve liked Steph Curry for the 1st pick, but apparently Evans is proving himself.  I thought Curry would be a better fit because Kevin Martin is a 2 guard, and Steph Curry is a 1.  He’s a dribbler, passer, and shooter.  Tyreke Evans is merely a 2 guard, trying to play the one.  His assist-turnover ration is horrible, and is shot is wickedly ugly.  With no surprise, the Kings are still winning without Kevin Martin… I say no surprise because, Kevin Martin is nothing to me.  All he is, all he’ll ever be, is a shooter.  An efficient scorer/ shooter.  He’ll never get more than 5 rebounds or 5 assists a game for a season.  He lacks the dribbling skills and IQ to do so.  It’s funny how there’s sac people believing, Kevin Martin is a super-star in the making, and the next Kobe Bryant without Defense.  Hilarious.  The Kings are winning because the boy Kevin Martin doesn’t require touching the ball. Sure he might have given us points, but there’s no ball rotation.  Notice how Peja never got more than 3 all-star appearances.  I highly doubt Kevin Martin will top that.  Plus, Evan’s primary position is 2 guard, Martin’s spot.  Now that Martin’s injured, Evan’s is playing his primary position.  Results are proof. Oh and right now he’s currently ranked number 1 in rookie rankings.
Surprised that Hornets aren’t doing too well.  Same with the Spurs.  How about Miami though? Dwyane Wade had 40 last night against the Wizards. Boston and Miami only have one loss.  Washington, without Antwan Jamison, are a whopping 2-6.  Most of the Eastern Conference, beside the big 3, are all losing records.  Western Conference, have more teams above .500, with Phoenix leading the way, 7-1.  LA is 6-1 after losing to Dallas in Week 1.  Surprise of the week? Sacramento. 4-4, amazing. Haha.  Golden State is suffering, even though they put up 140 against Minnesota.
Fantasy wise, team numbe 1 last week had a very interesting matchup against a very strong team.  Geelong Cats had Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony, Rasheed Wallace, Luol Deng, Jermaine O’neal, Blake Griffin, Marcus Camby, Allen Iverson, Samuel Dalembert, Andrew Bogut, and Kirk Hinrich.  Two players on his team didn’t play, AI and Blake Griffin due to injury/personal Reasons.  He was actually beating me in the early week, up to Friday where he led 8-1.  Somehow, I pulled out with the 5-3 win, tying in rebounds.  My team also were without, Tayshaun Prince, Leandro Barbosa, and Tim Duncan.  I think the improvement of Tyreke Evans and Chris Bosh helped me pull out.  The categories I lost in were, steals, blocks, and turnovers.
The second team, also ranked number one, played the first week.  I played All that Remains, who has Aaron Brooks, Manu Ginobli, Vince Carter, John Salmons, Andrea Bargnani, Luis Scola, Jermaine O’neal, Kobe Bryant, Devin Harris, and Chris Duhon.  Other than Kobe, I didn’t have anyone to worry about.  Manu was also injured on his team.  I had a strong performance by Rudy Gay and Deron Williams to take place of injured Yi Jinialian, and Troy Murphy.  I beat him 8-1, losing only in turnovers.

NFL.

Who would’ve thought the 49ers would’ve been under .500 in week 10 of the NFL season at 3-5.  The beginning of the season looked promising, but after watching the last 4 games, has been quite the opposite.  Losing the last 4 games, the 49ers don’t have anyone mainly to blame but a combination of bad luck and horrible offense.   You could say it’s their turnover rate with newly inserted quarterback, Alex Smith.   Or you could say it’s the schedule they have, with their opponents being extremely good. Sure, the Vikings stole a victory away from us, but look at Tennessee and Indianapolis.  Both of those victories could’ve easily been ours.  But our offense failed to convert in the 2nd half of the Colts game, and Alex Smith turned over the ball in the last 3 minutes.  Both of those games were our victories, which would have left us 5-3.  Instead, we our questioning our coaches, and the ability to run an effective offense.  Coach Mike Singletary told everyone last year and during the off-season that the 49ers were going to be a run run run offense.  Power and more power.  It’s great that he had the idea of being the power running team the NFL lacks, but once you tell that to your opponents, think about what the defense they’re going to run.  They’re going to put 8 men in the box 1st and 2nd downs, knowing the 49ers will run the ball.  And now that they’re trying to pass the ball, Alex Smith is throwing interceptions for touchdowns…So where do the 49ers go from here?  I say, keep up the risk, keep fighting for their season.  It’s  about moving the chains, and the play calls by coaches.  But it’s also up to the players moving the chains, tipping the balls that should’ve been caught.
Ravens and Broncos a fluke? They’re losing, and losing bad.  Broncos are 6-2, so not so much to worry about, although SD is 5-3 and catchin up.  Ravens are 4-4, which should be worried, with the Bengals and Steelers in front.  Cowboys have regained their conference on top of the Eagles and Giants.  Patriots are leading their league against the Jets and Dolphins.  Vikings are 7-1, no surprise here.  Saints and Colts are still undefeated.

Another week

Another week passed by. Might I add that next week, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 comes out (tuesday). Haha, it hit me when my classmates said, "If I'm not in class next Tuesday, I'm probably at home playing Modern Warfare 2 since it comes out next week." Haha. Yeah since I have nothing else to do besides hang out with a blog, I've started playing video games like a geek. haha Oh well, I guess I missed the last 6 years of being a Teenage Geek. For those who don't know, check it out!

On another basketball update... Cp3 is a sick shooter now, shooting high percentages from beyond the Ark. He managed to find some help from Emeka Okafor and David West, but the team as a whole, are still struggling. I swear the Hornets just have washed up Kings lying on their Roster.Okay maybe not washed up, but a trade among them kinda relationship. Look at it, Byron Scott, Peja, Bobby Brown, Ike Idogu, Sean Marks, Darius Songaila...just this year. And then Desmond Mason, Bobby Jackson and Bonzi Wells in previous years. Seems to me that, someone is following someone. I think it's more Hornets following Sac...which shouldn't happen because SAC is so weak sauce...They have been the last 5 years, and now look at New Orleans..Struggling to even be a playoff Team. I always thought the Hornets had the better lineups, just couldn't stay healthy. Sometimes I think their chemistry is off too. Mo Pete, James Posey, and Peja, are dead shooters. They traded for a healthier Emeka, yet wasted Rasual Butler...Doesn't make much sense to me. But hell, neither does Geoff Petrie.

I guess I'm just extending the talk about the Kings from the Sacbee Article/Comment Forum found here. People on that are ridiculous, stating the Newspaper Article Comments part is a "Fans Forum."  Some people are just beyond imaginable.  It's good to be a true fan, but it's also good to know when it's time to jump ship.  I'm not saying give-up on the Kings, but stop wasting your money on em.  They're ranked 10th in Attendance Prices for Home games at 60 bucks average. The Nba itself average ticket price is 50... Among the top 10, the Kings are the only ones with the losing record.  Lakers, Knicks, Boston, Chicago, and Mavericks are understandable for being there.  They're good and in large Cities.  Joe and Gavin Maloof are freakin rippin people. Thank God my dad stopped buying his season tickets this season.

Blame the management.  Geoff Petrie was a success when he brought over the Fab Five and plus some.  But since then he's done horrible.  Donte Green, Spencer Hawes, Kenny Thomas, Sean May, Desmond Mason, Ide Udoka, Andre(DUI) Nocioni all horrible pick ups on contracts.  Who'd we lose for them or let go for no good reason and we should've kept? Chris Webber, Mike Bibby, Ron Artest (Some might say Peja), Brad Miller, Eddie House, Bonzi Wells, Justin Williams, Ronnie Price, Dahntay Jones,  Rick Adelman, and John Salmons were among the ones lost for no reason.  The ones we didn't even need, yet we paid them- Bobby Brown, Quincy Douby, Vitaly Potapenko, Mo Taylor, Jason Hart, Mikki Moore, Beno Udrih. Jesus, ever since that C-webb Trade, that's probably all the players we went through, and most we haven't kept.  Anyways, Kings Fans are biased on that paper, and it's quite irritating.

Kevin Martin is a good scorer because he's efficient.  But that doesn't mean anything if you don't dish the ball, get assists, or even a block once in a while.  He's 6'7 so blocks aren't too hard, saying D Wade and Delonte West average almost a block a game under 6'4.  Monta Ellis passes the ball more than Kevin Martin.  Amazingly, he chased 11 rebounds down yesterday.  Yet the Kings couldn't hold on to a 4th quarter lead.  Kevin Martin will never be a Superstar, maybe an All star.  He'll be no better than Peja Stojakavic, and has a little more way to go to catch Mitch Richmond.  Oh and btw, These forum King Fans said that Kevin Martin is favorable than Ray Allen, Tmac, Reggie Miller, and Brandon Roy.  Haha.  Oh and I almost forgot, "Kevin Martin is just like Kobe, without a team, and without D."  Dude, I'm not even a Kobe fan, but Kobe is one of the most complete, clutchest, closer, Basketball Superstar Player since MJ.  LBJ and Dwyane follow, but to say Kevin Martin is just as good, without D and a team? Those people are trippin.  I'd take Steph Curry over Kevin Martin, hell I'd take him over Kevin and Tyreke.

As for Noc's DUI, he was probably drinkin his piss-poor life/trade from last year.  Hell it must've been a lot better being a Bull than a King.  Oh well.  Good to see Mike Bibby come back and hit some important shots down the stretch.  Kings fans think he's comin back when we become a Post Season team again, like Bobby did.  Haha. Sometimes I wonder if they're playing fantasy ball or 2k10 and think their teams really are gonna shape.  Reality is, Kings are either moving, or they'll suck for the next 3-4 years, unless they land some big name this coming off-season.

D-Wade beasted last night against the Wiz's on National Tv.  Cp3 beasted against  the Mavs too, on National Tv.  Way to go boys, Way to go.  Q rich might look like a fantasy pick up...and haha where on earth is Michael Beas(t)ley? He's got issues dude. Anyways. That's it for now.

Keep your Eyes Posted!

Congrats to Dwayne Wade on his 10,000 points Milestone.  This is what you call Superstar.

This Wed, he will be on National TV, ESPN at 7 P.M Eastern Standard Time, against Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards. I look forward to that matchup, although I'll miss the first half due to school.
On more news, Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings, is injured and listed Day to Day.

Anthony Randolph is still trying find his All-Star caliber, but can't blame him cause Nellie ain't playin him!.. Same thing with Anthony Morrow. Gallinari is a steal pick up right now, hitting 16 3's this season, including 8 in one outing. The Italian Knick can shoot!
I'm debating if I should pick up Courtney Lee, Peja Stojakavic, and/or Kenyon Martin...and drop either, Travis Outlaw, Yi Jinilian, and/or Anthony Morrow.

49ers Lost. Raiders Lost. Tom Brady is on the Bye. Redskins are on the Bye. Thank God the Ravens smashed the Broncos....49ers could've won, but didn't score the 2nd half of the Indy game, to leave Indy undefeated. Raiders, they just suck. Tom Brady's comin back from London. Joe Flacco is the man!

Celtics are undefeated, with Rondo signing an extension, 55 Million for 5 years. Jesus, just think, the Kings could've had him, instead of Quincy Who? Douby. Great, just Great. Kevin MArtin is still proving me right when I say, "Worst Clutch" performer. My dad was on Fox News too.

(Around the 540 Mark)
He had more coverage time, but I suppose they didn't like his responses. This is a revised/edited version. In the previous version, my dad answered questions of what should've been happening during the time of the crash, Along with what "might've" occured to cause the crash. And lastly, he finishes with, "slim chances" when asked what were the chances of survival. He said it with a straight face...I bet the family members are disgusted with my dad.

Ah The Nba Offseason

So the Lakers won the championship... Big surprise there. Kobe was MVP for the first time... Another big surprise.. Sike.

Anyways, it's been a while since I've updated this blog. The Kings drafted Tyreke Evans...that's the surprise, saying they wanted Ricky Rubio, and could've snagged him at number 4. But instead, they went with the 19 year old Evans. It'll be interesting to see what happens this offseason.  In my humble opinion, I think we should've selected Stephen Curry.  He has the purest shooting stroke I ever seen, better than Ray Allen, father Dell Curry, and Michael Jordan.  I was shouting at the TV telling the Kings to select Curry but to no avail.  I truly believe that Steph is the best player coming out of the draft because of his true potential at point guard, even though he is labeled a shooting guard.  I will tell you that I never ever in my 20+ years, watched college ball, until I watched Steph last year.  What he did in the March tournament is unheard of, and from then until now, I kept watching him through college.  As many of the announcers talk about his shooting ability, I watched him transform his sophomore to junior year becoming more of a facilitator of the rock.  He doubled his assist totals from 2 a game to 5.  My guess is he was trying to prove to NBA scouts that he is more of a ball handler than a shooter.   The best part of Steph has always been his shot, but add that with his ball handling and passing, and he is a deadly weapon.  What makes Steph so great is his shot ability in traffic and off the dribble.  Ray ray and all the other 3 point shooters are catch and shoot 3 point makers, Steph creates his own shot at any time.  His offensive mind allows him to know when to pass and when to shoot. I remember him recognizing the double and triple teams and understanding the defense throughout the season, to have the mindset to pass the ball.  He is a complete team player that understands the game beyond his age.

It would've been great to see Steph Curry facilitate the offense instead of this Tyreke Evans guy. Tyreke Evans was a safe pick, but I don't know about it was safe.  Sure, he's tall and lengthy, can handle the rock... But he his form of a shot, is horrific. What is scarier is Evans seems more of a shoot first, dish second.  Curry would've been a better fit as he is an analyzer to pass, and if need be shoot.  He also scores in bunches, think heat check.  At least if the Kings drafted Rubio on the other hand, there would be a true point guard who facilitates just as Jason Williams did with his flashiness.  But Rubio can't shoot either!  I guess the upside is that Tyreke and Rubio are young guns who have longer lifespans than Curry's age.  The way I see it is both Tyreke and Rubio don't know how to shoot and even if they did learn how to shoot, it will never be as pretty as Steph's. So I suppose in short run, Kings will be better with Evans. Long run however, Steph is the better choice.  His upside is really the sky.  The Kings flat out suck. This rookie won't bring em back to the playoffs this season. Not with this roster. C'mon, we have Evans, Martin, Garcia, Thompson, Hawes, Thomas, Jackson, Diogue, and whoever else. Seriously, no all stars.

Dwyane Wade should sign the extension Pat Riley is offering. Riley should also trade for Chris Bosh. I don't know how to, but they should do it. Maybe offer Jermaine O'neal and James Jones. That way the Heat would have a core of, Chalmers, Wade, Bosh, and Beasley. Either way, no teams are going to hang with the Lakers, Celtics, Cavs, or Magic. Can you believe the Magic have Rashard Lewis, Jameer Nelson, Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, and maybe Hedo. I don't think Hedo will sign with the Magic after trading for VC. The Lakers just copped Ron Artest, which makes em better. I know Ron might be a plague for teams, but I'm sure Kobe will keep him in check. Ron's defense is superb! The Celtics and Magic are both trying to cop Rasheed Wallace. Man, whatever team he goes to will be stronger. And the Cavs already got Shaq Diesel, another big upgrade. So now it's really going to be Shaq and Lebron Vs Kobe and Pau. Lakers are still stronger with more experienced, clutch players like Ron Ron , Derek Fisher, and Andrew Bynum. Only way Cavs can win is if Shaq stays healthy and does what his new job entitles, security. "Protect and serve the King." Haha.

The Hornets better do something this offseason in they want to improve. Trailblazers are looking better if they sign Hedo. Spurs are back in the contest with Richard Jefferson, and potent scorer. Denver might want to do some addition at the Shooting guard spot and Power Forward. It'd be awesome if they signed Sheed to the Nuggets... Reunite Big shot and Sheed.

Other then that, every other team that makes a move will probably be small and quiet. The free agency isn't very good at all with Villanueva being the top pick. Whatever team lands em will be a small addition...If he lands a good team then it'll make a difference. But other then that, everyone else will be small.

Okay I'm done for today.

NBA aWards

Okay , I know that the Rookie of the Year award and Defensive player of the Year award has already come out. I totally forgot of doing these predictions, but it's not like we couldn't see these two coming. First was Dwight Howard as Defensive player of the Year. Yes, I think we could all see that one coming. I think that one writer said it the best, "Blocks end almost every offensive possession. Defensive Rebound always end offensive possession.Dwight Howard led in Both." My second pick would've been Dwyane Wade of course. I agree that Lebron James is a beast and monster that nobody on any team would want to face. Even centers. But I think statistically Dwyane had a better season. He was second in steals at 2.19 a game, only losing to CP3. He also led all guards in blocks at 1.4 a game. Come to think about it, Lebron James averaged less in steals and blocks per game. He averaged 1.7 and 1.1 respectively, compared to D-Wade's 2.2 and 1.4.
Anyways, I guess it's who you wouldn't want to face in a match up one on one. Dwight is a monster. Lebron's a beast. Haha

Lets See. Rookie of the Year. Well who else would you pick? I am a Michael Beasely Fan, or simply a Heat fan. But I think Derrick Rose deserved this year's ROY. He's pretty much the leader on the Chicago Bulls team this year, leading them to the playoffs. He's their general on the court, and will be for many years. He probably had to go through more than most rookies with all the pressure being the first round pick # 1 pick overall.

6th Man Award.... My predictions for the sixth man award is probably a given like ROY. It's going to be Jason Terry from Dallas because he averaged a league high 19 ppg off the bench. Almost 20 ppg?! Man, that's more than half the people in the league's average. And at the end of the game, guess who was in.!? THE JET.. It's the best after he torches the other team with 3's, and then does his JET dance. haha But yeah, he's the main reason the Mavericks are in the playoff's this year, and not the number 8 seed.

Most Improved Player: My prediction for this is probably the second toughest next to MVP. There are such good candidates such as Devin Harris, Rajon Rondo, and Danny Granger. Danny Granger is the most likely, but I must say that Rajon Rondo is my top pick. I'm not a Granger fan, therefore I would secondly pick Devin Harris. He had a killer season as well. Either way, the two picks I choose have evidence on why they should win. Devin Harris had a breakout season which led to fantasy owners defeating me (surprisingly), with his FT Percentage, 3pt Made, points, and ASsists. Rajon Rondo on the other hand, should've been an All Star. He has picked up the most slack since KG went down from injury. He's doing it all on the court, having a couple tripple double's this season. Either way, It's a tough pick for me.

Coach of the Year : I would've chose differently than Mike Brown. I was thinking more like Rick Adelman, or Eric Spoelstra. Eric Spoelstra is a favorite for one, but also because it was his rookie season as a head coach, and also what he had to work with. I'm sure rookie and second year men would've just played a season for stats, with out winning or following exaclty what the coaches wanted. But he was able to lead the Heat to a 43-39 season, which was one win better then his mentor, Pat Riley. I choose Rick Adelman simply because he did a lot with less as well. He lost TmAC for like 60 games this season, but was still able to win. In the middle of the season, he was also able to trade his starting point guard, Rafer Alson, for Kyle Lowry. He also transformed Aaron Brooks into a starting guard, and keep Ron Artest out of the headlines.

MVP: I predict Lebron James will win. I disagree, but I guess it's because the award to me means the most valuable player to the team. If the player was taken off of the team, how good would the team do. To me, Dwyane Wade had the best invididual season out of Kobe and Lebron, and it led to a winning- playoff season in Miami. Everyone doubted Wade, and he took this fire and managed to average 30 ppg, 7.5 APg, 4.5 Rpg, 2.2 spg, and 1.4 bpg. He simply did more with less, and still led his team to a winning season. Not to bash on Kobe or LBJ cause they both had killer seasons. But I think their teams could still make the playoffs without them . To me, their teams are both playoff contending teams. Not as successful, but still contending. The Heat on the other hand, wouldn't have made it past 25 victory's without D Wade's help. Well either way, D-Wade's chances of winning MVP aren't that high. I think he has more chance of getting past the 1st round of the playoffs.

The NBA playoffs!

Ah yes! It’s the middle of April.! And guess what that means…no no no.. Schools not out. Almost, but not quite. It means taxes are over and it’s time for the NBA Playoffs! Yezzir! Lets start with the Eastern Conference since I’m on the side of the coast. East.

First match up is Cleveland Vs Detroit. I would like to think that Detroit has the talent and capabilities of upsetting the Cleveland Cavaliers, but in order to do so, they’re going to need two-road victories. This season, the Cavaliers were an astonishing 39-2 at home, meaning the Pistons will have to upset the Cavaliers not once, but twice since they’re the 8th seed. It’ll be hard to say whether or not the Pistons will show up and play this weekend. And even so, it’s doubtful that Allen Iverson will play. Even so, it’ll cause uncomfortable chemistry within the team, so I say he’s out. I’m not the biggest Lebron James fan, but that man is simply a beast. I think he’ll do whatever it takes to get to the Finals this year, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he has one of the biggest post season outbursts. Cleveland 4-0

Second Match up is Boston and Chicago. I don’t think Boston will go seven games like they did last year. I doubt they’ll even go six. I am confidently saying the Boston Celtics will come back to post season form from last year, with KG coming back from his injury. It might hurt the chemistry, and it might cause some discomfort with the rotation, but I think it’s safe to say that the Bulls won’t be an upset. Celtics 4-1.

Third Match up is Orlando and Philadelphia. I think to me it’s a rare surprise that Philadelphia is the 6th seed. I’ve seen the team play live this year, and I can say that they’ll go as far as the Andre’s take them. Yes, Miller and Iguodala. I think they will be an early exit though against the Magic, simply because they can’t compete with Dwight Howard and the 3’s. Stan Van Gundy is a veteran post-season coach, so I think that will have a lot of effect on the outcome. Orlando 4-0

Fourth Match up is Atlanta and Miami. This is probably the best match up I’m excited to watch. Dwyane Wade is my boy, and I believe he has more in his closet. All year long, the Miami Heat have been doubted. And thus far, they’ve proven they can play. And I know that people believe shutting down Dwyane Wade will shut down the whole team. But Dwyane Wade is so good that even if you try to shut him down, he can simply contribute with the assists, steals, and blocks. I think he’ll have an exceptionally great post season this year because this is his comeback season from all the injury and doubters. Wade loves to be the underdog, so don’t be shocked when I say. Heat 4-2.

Western Conference- This conference maybe the hardest postseason to predict because the records were so close that each and every playoff team beside the Lakers had to play to the end to get seeded. I think this postseason, higher seeds have higher potential of winning.

First Match up is the La Lakers Vs Utah. This is like the Cleveland –Detroit Match up. The Jazz have the potential and talent of upsetting the Lakers. They have AK 47, Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, and Mehmet Okur to match up with Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol, and Andrew Bynum. The only left out man is Kobe Bryant, one of the best in the Game. They also have a veteran head coach, Jerry Sloan. But it’s going to take a lot of hot hands and effort to upset this Lakers team. Kobe is very hungry to get back to the Finals this year. They also have one of the more talented rosters and good court chemistry this year. I really don’t favor the Lakers, but I think they won’t allow an upset. Lakers 4-1

Second Match up is Denver and New Orleans. Who would have ever thought Denver would’ve been second. Those who believed in Chauncey “Big Shot” Billups did. This match up will be a good one, with the results being simply unpredictable. I wouldn’t be surprised if either team won. It comes down to who wants it more, and who has the hotter hand. J.R Smith is simply a pure shooter who can shoot lights out. I don’t see anyone on the Hornets stopping him or Camelo. But like the Nuggets, the Hornets have some pure shooters as well. It matters if Peja and James Posey come to play or not. And it also matters if Tyson Chandler is healthy. I am a huge CP3 fan so I’m gonna have to go with the Hornets. Hornets 4-2

Third Match up is San Antonio Vs Dallas. This match up is kind of up in the air too. I know that both of these teams are the older ones that have been in the playoffs for consecutive years. The underdog is Dallas, although I’m not a fan. I still think the Spurs are deeper and better overall. I say the leadership of Tony Parker and Tim Duncan, along with their experience will lead them far. Manu Ginobli and his health is key vs Jason Terry and the Dallas bench. I guess overall, it just depends on whose bench plays better. This is the 6th man match up. San Antonio 4-1

Fourth Match up is Portland Vs Houston. This is a match up that is simply about who has the hot hand. Portland is a very young team with little playoff experience. Brandon Roy is the leader of this group, so however far he takes them is how far they’ll go. If he has off games, Lamarcus Aldridge can score. But remember, Houston is a defensive nightmare with Yao in the middle, Ron Artest and Shane Battier on the perimeter. But on the opposite, the Rockets have little offensive game even with the help of Rick Adelman. I’d say that if Yao Ming is taken out of the team, it’s hard to say how much Ron Artest can do. But then again, Ron Ron is a fighter, and he’s gonna go down swinging. I hope he enjoyed me serving that sushi to him back in Sacramento, and hope that it’ll take him further than the first round. Rockets 4-2.

This weekend, the playoff’s are underway. It was fun watching March Madness this year for the very first time in my life. College play is fun, but I’m more of an NBA guy. So this postseason will be very enjoyable for me. Dwyane Wade and Cp3 are both back in the playoffs, so I’ll be watching them the most.
