What to watch for.

What's new?

Well, as you may or may not know NBA fans, Dwyane Wade is beasting the second half of the season, averaging 36 points , 11 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.  He became one of three players to average 40 points and 10 assists in four consecutive games.  On Friday night against the Raptors he added to the stat line, recording 42 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block, leading the Miami Heat to a 108-102 victory.

Tomorrow night, he'll try to continue his hot streak against Lebron James and the Clevland Cavs.

On another note, Watchmen came out Friday.  With much hype as being one of the most graphic super hero novel comic, there is little disappointment with gory, bloody, scenes with violence and sexual scenes included.  This film is a pretty good film, although it is not what you expect from a superhero movie.  There's more thinking involved and not as much action as you would think.  Remember, the movie is based on a comic series.

your choice.

Have you ever looked at a photograph and wondered “Why aren’t I there?” Have you ever seen or heard of a group or organization you wished you were apart of? Did you ever lose a friendship for mysterious ways related to another person? Did you ever feel like sometime in your life, or throughout your entire life, feel out of place or out of your league, feeling uncomfortable and nervous? You’re not alone. In reality, everyone in one point of his or her life has gone through this stage. Cliques and groups form which distinguishes who hangs out with whom. It seems that if you don’t choose a group you’re standing all alone. And when this occurs, emptiness and loneliness settles in and you realize that nobody wants to be alone. As you sit by yourself on your computer, looking at what could’ve been, or what should’ve been, there’s no need to get bent out of shape or spray a butt load of tears. If depression is knocking on your door, don’t answer it! When we look back on life, through the good and bad times, there will always be a void and question of “What if?” “What if I didn’t go, or what if we went out? What if he didn’t’ do that, or she did that? What would’ve happened?” Although it’s really nice to live in dream world, it’s irrelevant and unimportant.

There’s more to life than wondering what if this and what if that. We should understand that the more important thing to realize is, everything is by choice. We choose what we want to do, whom we want to see, and where our life is going. Everyday we wake up and we make choices. These choices are anywhere from, what should I do first? Or should I buy this? Do I want to hang out or study? And the choices we make usually are based on what we really want. These little everyday choices seem normal and routine, but they all shape our life. And when it comes the in-depth choices, how do we handle them? It takes a little more thought and a little more evaluating of the pros and cons in these choices. And instead of it being your decision, we look for help. We look for guidance, maybe from someone who has experienced a similar issue. This is never a bad thing, and it’s often used as reassurance and comfort, believing we’re making the right choice. But understand that each issue or problem, no matter how similar it is, is different in some little way. It’s because the factors are different, people are different, and it simply isn’t you. You should note that there is no wrong choice and there is no bad choice. We shouldn’t stand and wonder what would’ve happened if we chose the other option. If we make a decision that didn’t have the outcome we were looking for, we should evaluate and analyze it. We should learn and understand what choices we made, and gain the knowledge that comes with the decisions we made. Life is filled with so many choices that we should never regret anything we do. Instead we should learn what influenced our choices and why we should or should not make those choices again.

Choice is a huge part of life, so any choice we make is important. It is all-important because it affects and shapes the rest of our life. If we are unhappy with what we do, it is never too late to change. It is our choice to determine whether or not our life is good. It is up to us to determine whether it is what we want or not. When it comes to reminiscing on the friends we could’ve hung out with, or things we could’ve done, it all revolves around choice. If we didn’t’ get to hang out with the clique we wanted to, know that it was part of the choice you made. And if you’re unhappy with the choice, or dislike the choice you made, change it. If there were certain things you wanted to do, or certain people you wanted to see, act on it. Go do what you want to do, go see whom you want to see. Life is made by choice, and more importantly, your choice.

Remember that it’s never too late to change. If you’re worried about what people will think of your choice then your living scared. It’s your choice, your life, and it shouldn’t matter what people think. People, friends, enemies, acquaintances, or strangers, will always have an opinion of you. They will always have their memory of you; good, negative, positive, good or bad, it’s just how the world works. People always think of other people and they all have their own opinion, but that’s the thing. It’s their opinion, and what you should know is, you have no affect on what they think. You might have a say or an influence, but in the end, it’s something that you can’t change. And even if you could change it, I say to you, you’re wasting your time. No matter what there will always be those who dislike you, hate you, and think the lowest of you. But that shouldn’t be a problem to you. You know who you are, and you know how you see things, so why let others influence and shape you. The friends you have support you and see you as they see you. Friends don’t mind what you do, as long as you’re happy. Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter, don’t mind. We have friends that can influence our choices, but in the end, the decision is what we want. Whatever you do, whatever choices you make, are all based on what you want. It is up to you to decide where you want to be in life. And if you’re wondering why you’re not in that picture, the only person you have to blame is yourself. It’s funny how everyone wants to point the finger at something or someone else but themselves. Life is unfair at times, but this is reality. And overall, when all is said and done, it’s our fault for underachieving. We are the ones who make the choices of how we want our life.
