Snowin in June

There comes a time when you reach your darkest hour.
And when this time comes, the tornado has no mercy.
Everyday you wish to stay in bed and never go anywhere.
Have you ever been in a white out with the power out and the heat gone.
It takes you by surprise because you've never experienced it.
And everything else is covered in snow making it impossible to leave.
You were standing there in the wake of devastation
Living on the edge of the unknown.
You look to your concrete, your backbone, your strength.
And To no surprise, You were standing there, possibly alone.
It wasn't because you weren't friendly, and it wasn't because you weren't fair.
Some say you're the nice one, others say you're the best friend anyone could ask for
But none of that really matters when you need someone for yourself.
You really don't know who's dependable until you need them.
You really don't know when you need them until they ignore your calls.
And when you realize things aren't always how they seem .
Words mean a lot but silence means so much more.
"Not mad, you just have this tendency to cause problems, whether it's deliberate or not."
It's always when you least need someone when you have em'
And they're never there when you need them most.
Brotherhood is built on this, friendships die because of it.
What we once were, we are no more.
The words are filled with deception, never filling them to be complete.
It's time to let go, it's time to move on.
You'll catch frostbite if you stay in the snow too long.
You'll die if you don't move on.
Thank you world for not being there when I needed you most.
